I bought this wacom tablet for 5 euros but the drivers do not work on windows 10/7/xp so i need help becus the tablet is freaking out. Wacom model et-0405a-u driver recognizes my pressure sensitive actions, and tells me so in the configuration program; but such is not recognized in the Windows 10 ink apps wacom model et-0405a-u the sketchpad or Fresh Paint available from the App Store.
This solution should work for Windows 7 and other Wacom graphic tablets too.
Every once in a while, when me or my wife get a new computer, I struggle to properly install my old Wacom Graphire4 tablet.
There are more reasons for it, but mostly its because Windows 7/10 will recognize it as a normal mouse, install mouse drivers for it and now you’re stuck with “Supported tablet not found” message after installing Wacom drivers.

Luckily, I’ve managed to find out an easy solution.
- Normally plug-in your tablet, let Windows install it’s drivers.
- Search for “cons530-3_int.exe” file and download it. It’s an older version of the Wacom drivers that can be found using google (it will find some old Wacom site you can get it from).
- Open your Device Manager (Right click on the Start icon -> Device Manager). Under the “Mice and other pointing devices” tab you should see at least 2 devices that are named “HIID technology compliant mouse” (or something like that). One of them is your tablet. Try plugging out and plugging the tablet back in to figure out which one of those 2 the tablet is.
- After you find out, right click on the device and click Uninstall device.
- Now execute the “cons530-3_int.exe” driver file you’ve downloaded.
- Voilà, you should be ready to go (you might need to restart your PC but I didn’t need to do that).
Hope that helps!
I've switched from Mac to windows for my comic art, and I ran into some difficulty getting my tablet to work. It's a Graphire 4 from about 2004 or so, but it still works fine. However, downloading the official Wacom driver for this tablet did not work. It's deceiving, too, because Windows recognizes the tablet as an 'HID-compliant mouse' so pointing works, but not pressure sensitivity. Even unzipping the exe and directly connecting the tablet to the driver doesn't work.
So I'm documenting what does work, so anyone else who finds this thread knows what to do. Find the EUROPEAN driver for the BAMBOO tablet (not the Graphire) version 5.3.0. Yes, I know. Sounds weird, and I cannot take credit. I found it by digging through threads and connecting the dots. As hard as it is to believe, this driver works. It's not the correct tablet model, not the latest version, and not US. But it works.
